A#3 belongs to the cycle of art work ?ANIMO. It is set up as an interactive dance installation for VR headsets ( HTC VIVE ) and a Dance & Music Experiment with Mixed Reality.

This VR Art Work offers an immersion into a choreographic virtual reality environment, where you can meet and touch life-size holograms of dancers. Invited to step in as the choreographer – demiurge or Pygmalion – the guests may orientate dancers in movements of their choice and establish an intimate dialogue with the image of those bodies coming to life through these movements only. Until then invisible, dance enters in interaction with its environment.

When two real spaces are distant but connected to the Art application, the immersed «spect-actors» are together on the same virtual stage. Alltogether active with the holograms, they establishes a creative sign dialogue through the air. Here the movements of each viewer, change and guide them toward another connected place there. A choreographic form emerges from this exchange.

The whole cycle ANIMO draws its inspiration from the world of living and more specifically from the theories of evolution. In this third part, the artist focuse on Pierre Henri Gouillon and Michel Benasayag writings on a vision of the «thread of life», based on a immaterial living entities. The biologist and the philosopher develop the idea that «man does not evolves as he dies and that the real struggle for survival is not that of human beings because human beings do not survive. It is informational messages from which living being are only ephemeral hosts. Potentially eternal, struggling for survival, these information evolve and constitute what unites human beings through time.

A#3 – MOTU offers, through holograms, an exchange of immaterial information through dance and music ; an immersion into the core of the emergence of a form which such a living organisme is design as a dynamic material updating at any time by the interaction with the environment.
